Lifetree Café Conversations: Dangerous Foods

Lifetree Café Menlo Park offers a weekly serving of stories and conversations to feed your soul! It's a comfortable place where you can grab a cup of coffee and slide into a compelling conversation about up-to-date issues and relevant topics. These conversations take place every Wednesday night, 7-8 p.m.

This week, Lifetree Café Menlo Park discusses hints and strategies for healthy eating.

The program, titled "Dangerous Food: Is Your Supermarket Killing You?" features the filmed story of Joel Salatin, author of several books including Everything I want to do is Illegal: War Stories From the Local Food Front and Holy Cows and Hog Heaven: The Food Buyer's Guide to Farm Friendly Food.

"Between contaminated eggs and genetically engineered food, people are wondering if their supermarkets are killing them," says Lifetree representative Craig Cable.

Special resources will offer help in locating healthy food sources, and participants will discuss the role the government should play in deciding food choices.

If you're up for an hour of conversation and connection with interesting people, we hope to see you there! Lifetree Café Mp meets every Wednesday night, 7-8 p.m. and every Thursday morning, 9:15-10:15 a.m at Bethany Lutheran Church (1095 Cloud Ave. Menlo Park, CA 94025).

Admission is free, the coffee is hot, and the snacks are tasty!
