FREE HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL EVENT FOR MENLO PARK RESIDENTS

Menlo Park residents may bring household hazardous waste including paint, thinners, motor oil, batteries, fluorescent lamps, herbicides, pool and photo chemicals, drain openers, and cleaning solvents to a special drop-off location in Menlo Park on Saturday, August 10th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All waste collected is either reused, recycled, processed for energy recovery, or stabilized for proper disposal to achieve zero waste being landfilled. There is no charge to participate, but appointments are required and can be made through the Online Appointment System at www.smchealth.org/hhw or by calling (650) 363-4718. Space is limited. No radioactive, explosive, medical or commercial waste is allowed.

Menlo Park residents unable to attend this event can still dispose of household hazardous waste through the FREE "At Your Door Special Collection" Program. Residents must call 1-800-449-7587 or email atyourdoor@wm.com for a collection kit and instructions.
