The terrific line-up for the Authors Salon Luncheon includes best-selling author Richard Rhodes, winner of a Pulitzer Prize in Nonfiction, a National Book Award and Nation Book Critics Circle Award and author of Hedy’s Folly: The Life and Breakthrough Inventions of Hedy Lamarr, The Most Beautiful Woman in the World.
Authors joining the program include: Lalita Tademy author of Cane River, a New York Times Bestseller and Oprah Book Club Selection; Susan Wels a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and USA Today bestselling author, and author of the soon-to-be-published book San Francisco: Arts for the City-Civic Art and Urban Change, 1932-2012; lawyer and Stanford Law School professor Paul Goldstein, author of Havana Requiem; and Marilyn Yalom author of How the French Invented Love: 900 Years of Passion and Romance. New York Times bestselling author Ellen Sussman, known for her novels On a Night Like This and French Lessons will moderate the panel. Her new novel The Paradise Guest House will publish in March 2013.
Peninsula Volunteers’ Authors Salon has presented best-selling authors for over 20 years, many of whom have gone on to national and international awards. Salon authors are selected for their entertaining speaking abilities, as well as for their literary merits.
