200 Volunteers to Improve North Fair Oaks Kids Lives & Futures with Play

More than 200 volunteers and residents of North Fair Oaks will join forces on Friday to build a new playground at Friendship Park - (the design is based on children's drawings created at the January design event!)

A playground is a brain expander, friend-maker and a muscle-builder!  It can transform children from sedentary, bored and solitary to physically, mentally and socially active. It's especially needed for kids in neighborhoods that lack parks, green space and playgrounds like this one.

Special thanks to the Volunteers and to Shutterfly FoundationRotary Club of Redwood CitySALSFPUCCollective RootsKaBOOM! and the County of San Mateo - the primary partners in this project! And thanks to those of you who will cook and provide lunch for the volunteers!
