Pharmaceutical Company Moving from Menlo Park to Newark

Depomed, Inc. signed a 10-year lease with with the Pacific Research Center.

A specialty pharmaceutical company signed a long-term lease with the , indicating it is shifting operations from Menlo Park to Newark. 

Depomed, Inc. announced it signed a 10-year lease with BioMed Realty Trust Inc. for a space that totals approximately 60,000 square feet at the Pacific Research Center campus in a press release Monday night. 

Depomed President and CEO Jim Schoeneck said in a statement:

“We are excited about our move later this year to the Pacific Research Center. The combination of a vibrant, accessible campus and BioMed Realty's specialty expertise in understanding and operating life science real estate was certainly a factor in our decision to become part of the life science community at PRC."

Depomed joins a number of businesses that have moved recently, including bio tech companies such as  and fashion boutiques such as Cynthia L.

In early March, reports noted that between BioMed Realty Trust Inc. and a private biotech company. The name of that company has not yet been released.
