Partying Like An Animal

Menlo Park's annual Block Party will feature a pooch parade this year.

The City of Menlo Park is calling for entries into the first ever pooch parade that will take place during the city's annual Block Party on June 22.

The event will be called Parade of the Hounds.

Pet owners are encouraged to dress their pets in costumes that illuminate their dog's personality to parade watchers, according to the Chamber of Commerce website.  The Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce and the are co hosting the event.

To put your dog in the parade, you need to register by June 15 by filling out this form, and paying $5.  Proceeds will go toward animal rescue initiatives.

The Chamber asks that you only enter one dog per person; pet owners will be responsible for cleaning up their dog's waste.
