The 2013 Menlo Park Block Party will have a variety of new family-friendly activities, including a scavenger hunt, said Clark Kepler, local business advocate.
“Contestants will match their merchants with the clues to win Yiftee egifts redeemable at those very same merchant shops,” Kepler said. “It will be a fun and a great way for residents to show how much they care about their local businesses," he said.
The Menlo Park Block Party is an annual event that takes place on Santa Cruz Avenue. The street will be closed to cars, allowing people to stroll through the streets and mingle with their neighbors. The event takes place from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday June 19, 2013.
Scavenger hunt maps can be picked up at the Yiftee table, which will be in front of the Wells Fargo Bank, as well as at each of the participating merchant’s tables.
Participating businesses are: Alys Grace, Angelo Mio Restaurant, Bridgepoint Music, Cheeky Monkey Toys, Cold Stone Creamery, Color Me Mine, Fleet Feet Soprts, The Great Frame Up, La Migliore Salon, Menlo Café, Menlo Park Ace Hardware, Menlo Velo Bicycles, Occasions, Quiznos, Village Stationers, and Yiftee.
