Left Bank Plans 2-Day Beer and Food Event

Get your prix fixe meal for $30 on Sept. 21 and 22.

Left Bank Brasserie in Menlo Park, on Sept. 21 and 22, debuts La Fête de la Bière in the spirit of Oktoberfest. This series of four two-day beer and food pairing events, with each one showcasing the offerings of a different craft brewer, kicks off with 21st Amendment Brewery.

Guests will be able to enjoy a $30.00 seasonal four-course prix fixe tasting menu created by Chef de Cuisine Brendy Monsada, with each course designed to pair perfectly with a 5 oz. sample of select 21st Amendment beers. In addition, a sampler of four 21st Amendment beers (5 oz. pours) will be offered for $10.00 and pints will be available for $6.00.

The tasting menu will be served for lunch and dinner and the price excludes tax and gratuity. Reservations are recommended, as seating is limited, and can be made by calling (650) 473-6543. All prix fixe menu items will be available à la carte and the restaurant's regular à la carte menus will also be served.

Subsequent La Fête de la Bière events will take place on Sept. 28 and 29 (with the Freewheel Brewing Company), Oct. 5 and 6 (with the Palo Alto Brewing Company), and Oct. 12 and 13 (with the Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company).

Left Bank Menlo Park is located at 635 Santa Cruz Ave., at Doyle Street, in Menlo Park. Nearby parking is readily available.

Bay Scallop Ceviche with espelette pickled watermelon, lime, radish, avocado paired with Hell or High Watermelon

Smoked Pork Belly braised in bitter American beer with sauerkraut, whole grain mustard, pickle salad paired with Bitter American

Fish and Chips, locally caught red snapper, with tartar sauce, French fries paired with Back in Black

Chocolate Glazed Puff Pastry with chocolate custard fillingpaired with Brew Free! or Die
