Facebook + Google Employees To Bike Bay Trail

Cyclists encouraged to join the group at 8:30a.m. at the Menlo Park Caltrain station.

Google and Facebook employees are biking about 43 miles to work Friday to promote cycling culture and the use of the .

Menlo Park leaders will join these SF2G cyclists on the Bay Trail starting at 9 a.m. to “re-energize the riders with free coffee and snacks,” said Adina Levin, co organizer of the event and Menlo Park resident. 

“Facebook staff will explain their efforts to , which include an expanded on-campus bike-share program, and new bike parking and shower facilities,” Levin said.

SF2G is a cycle commuting club that Google employees founded in 2005. Its members ride from San Francisco to companies throughout Silicon Valley on the Bay Trail, which runs near Facebook’s new headquarters at 1601 Willow Road in Menlo Park.

This trail has been declared on the Peninsula by local cycling enthusiasts.

Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition Members are riding from the Menlo Park Caltrain station to Facebook campus at 8:30 a.m.  Members of the public are invited to join them.
