British Bankers Club May Reopen Soon

California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control records show food sales permit is pending.

The may reopen for business soon, after the popular bar had its liquor license revoked earlier this year.

Former Zynga executive Owen Van Natta applied for a permit to sell food at 1090 El Camino Real in Menlo Park, which is the location of the bar formerly known as the British Bankers Club.   in January after multiple took place there.

California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control records show that one 12-month license is pending.  It is a type 47 license, which would allow for general food sales.  It is not clear whether alcohol will be served there when the application is processed, or whether it will retain the old business name. Mr. Van Natta, who has also worked with Facebook, could not be reached for comment.

The location formerly had both a type 47 and a 41.  The type 41 license allows an establishment to sell beer and wine.
