Tapestries of Hope-Kepler's Screening

This movie began with a chance meeting between Betty Makoni (2009 CNN Hero) and Michealene Risley (award-winning, mid-Peninsula-based film maker) in early 2007. It was through this meeting that Betty and Michealene worked together to create a story aimed at creating much needed change in how the world looks and reacts to violence against women and kids.

Tapestries of Hope is a feature-length documentary that reveals the story of human rights activist Betty Makoni and the Girl Child Network (GCN) in Zimbabwe, Africa.
Michealene will be on hand to introduce Tapestries of Hope and discuss her extraordinary experiences making this film as well as Betty’s work in the GCN.
