American Diabetes Association health fair puts the fun into health

8-September-2012--SAN JOSE, CALIF--Feria de Salud is a health fair hosted by the American Diabetes Association in the San Jose Flea Market Pavilion focused on the Latino community. This event offers important information about healthy living in a festive atmosphere. There will be nutritional information, preparation of exquisite dishes, speakers about diabetes and dealers that offer a variety of products and services to the public.

“Diabetes is an urgent health problem in the Latino community,” according to American Diabetes Association. “Their rates of diabetes are almost double those of non-Latino whites. Getting information to the community about the seriousness of diabetes, its risk factors and those who may be at risk, and ways to help manage the disease is essential.”

Booths will provide information and screenings for:

• Chiropractor
