Team In Training Session and Mother's Day Brunch Are Scheduled For This Weekend

Why Go: Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Daniel Raim captures the late-life coming together of renowned art directors Robert "Bob" Boyle, Hentry Bumstead, and Albert Nozakistoryboard artist Harold Michelson, as well as master cinematographers Haskell Wexlerand Conrad Hall These six cinema artists shared 25 oscar nominations, 400 films, and 300 years of movie making.

Where/When: 1041 Middlefield Rd, Redwood City on May 8 at 11:30 a.m.

Why Go: Donato Enoteca will offer a $54.00 four-course prix fixe Mother’s Day menu on May 8 available from 11:30 am to 9 pm. in addition to a consolidated a la carte menu. Moms will also receive a floral gift compliments of the restaurant.

Where/When: CourtHouse Square - Redwood City Broadway St & Middlefield Rd. from 6–8 p.m. on May 6.

Why Go: “Friends of Friday Night” offers sales of reserved seating, featuring special super-comfortable outdoor chaise lounge chairs, for all 23 Music on the Square Friday night concerts this season (most Fridays from May 6 – October 7). Only a small section of Courthouse Square will be occupied by this fundraising concept and the revenue will be used to help offset the costs of putting on these renowned and very popular Friday night concerts.

Where/When: , 800 Alma St, Menlo Park (In the Downstairs Community Room) at 11:15 a.m. on May 6.

Why Go: It's never too early to introduce your child to the wonderful world of reading and books! Join the Menlo Park Public Library for their Baby Story Time and mingle with other parents and babies who love the library. The children's staff will lead visitors in stories and games that are age appropriate and fun. Don't miss out on this free event! This event takes place on Monday mornings and is for children 0 to 23 months.

Where/When: , Us Hwy 101 & State Hwy 84, Menlo Park on May 7 from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Why Go: Menlo Park residents are invited to pick up free compost while supplies last.  Residents should bring proof of residency, shovels, containers, and be prepared to help themselves to the large pile of compost just inside the Entrance of Bedwell Bayfront Park.

Where/When: 2200 Broadway St, Redwood City on May 7 at 11:00 a.m.

Why Go: Have at blast at the “Almost” Mother’s Day Concert, featuring Andy Z & the Andyland Band! Families will enjoy a fun kid's concert, an inflatable playland, and can also create a Mother's Day Gift in the craft area. This concert is sponsored by the Redwood City Mother’s Club, the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, and the Redevelopment Agency.

Where/When: , 2215 Broadway St, Redwood City on May 6 at 8:00 p.m.

Why Go: Legendary Latin Rock band Malo is one of the most successful and enduring bands in the world. Their 1972 hit single, “Suavecito” is the ultimate Hispanic love song, and four decades later, still one of the most played tracks on classic radio.
