It's First Friday....And That Means Free Admission to SMC History Museum

The museum's Free First Friday Program kicks off in January.

[Editor's Note: The following information was posted on RWC-Woodside Patch's Event Calendar, and is reprinted here.]

Not only is admission to the SAN MATEO COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM  free the entire day (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) today (Jan. 3), but two programs are planned for the public without any fees.

At 11:00 a.m., preschool children will be invited to learn about local inventors who changed the world.  They will create robots out of cardboard to take home.

Then Museum staff will conduct a special program in its San Mateo County History Makers exhibit gallery, which tells about Peninsula entrepreneurs. Here the youngsters will hear the story, Boy and Bot.  At 2 p.m., museum docents will lead tours of the Museum for adults.
