House Hunt: Open Houses In Menlo Park This Weekend

So many questions arise while perusing properties online. Why not take a look in person?

While searching for a property that could be your new home, many questions come to mind.

Do you like the floor plan?  Are the rooms large enough?  How would the furniture you own now fit into the new property? Are the quality of the floors, counter tops, cabinets and tiling suitable?  If is not to your liking, what can be done to make it your own?  Sometimes a new paint color is all it takes.  Is the landscaping attractive, does it have a welcoming presence?

You can take a peek at pictures online, but really the best way to get a feel for the place is to actually visit it in person.

In addition to the visual sense, there may be questions your other senses can answer.  If the property is on a busy street, can you live with the noise?  Is it under a flight path? Are there any other sources of unwanted noise that could cause irritation?  How do the counter tops, drawer handles, door knobs feel? I could go on at length.

In this week's House Hunt take a gander at some of the townhomes and single family homes available for sale in Menlo Park.  Locations include the Fair Oaks neighbourhood in northwest Menlo, the Willows, central Menlo, and the University Heights area.
