Hey, Baseball Fans! Ty Cobb's Grandson Coming to Menlo Park

Herschel Cobb, grandson of American baseball legend Ty Cobb, will be coming to Little House Activity Center in Menlo Park to share stories about growing up with his grandfather through his award winning book, “Heart of a Tiger.”

Raised in a destructive home with an abusive father and adulterous, alcoholic mother, Herschel's only saving grace was the memories of summers spent with his grandfather and American baseball legend, Ty Cobb.

As a baseball player in the major leagues, Ty was known for his ruthless and aggressive ways, but it was his legacy as a grandfather that saved the lives of three young children.

"Heart of a Tiger" is an account of how a retired sports star seized a second chance at having a close family, with his grandchildren- the lucky recipients of his changed heart.

The free event will be held on Tuesday, May 27 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes book signings and classic baseball refreshments.
