Neighbors Celebrate Completion of Woodland Avenue Sidewalk Project

Menlo Park residents celebrate smooth sidewalks for young skaters.

Dana Shields, Menlo Park resident, celebrated the completion of the Woodland Avenue Sidewalk Project Friday afternoon with an outdoors potluck.

Shields and Bob Hubbell began working with the city of Menlo Park to improve their neighborhood more than three years ago. The children who lived there were riding their bikes and walking in the street, as the area did not have a sidewalk.

After a lot of paperwork, they got one installed.

Here's Shields and the gang giving the new sidewalk a thumbs up.

So happy that story about Google killing the Google Reader app was a joke. Google Reader is myRead More favorite way to read the Menlo Park Patch. Without Google Reader, I would miss all the great articles here.
